And when we as a society adhere to the restraints we place upon ourselves, we reduce women to this standard—this perspective. The Women by Woman Project attempts to break through that barrier.

Women are more than just a pretty face…

In the United States, less than half of the population’s photographers are women. This means that—although women dominate the modeling field—majority are photographed by men through what film theorists call “The Male Gaze”.

As a female photographer herself, Sarah has the unique perspective and undeniable opportunity to represent women not just how they deserve to be seen, but how THEY want to be seen. The Women by Woman Project strives to capture the beauty within us all. The models lead the shoot in a way they’re most comfortable with, the end results being a vision of self-love and agency.

Until women are no longer scrutinized, lessened, and misrepresented by society, The Women by Woman Project will stay active.

Sarah isn’t just any photographer, she’s one you can trust to capture you in no other way, but the way you want to be. And, she’ll keep using her art and skill to advocate for women in anyway she can.
